Cisco SFP Gigabit Interface Converter (GLC-ZX-SM)

The GLC-ZX-SM is one of Cisco's 1000BASE-ZX Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) interface converters. These hot-swappable input/output devices plug into a Gigabit Ethernet port or slot, linking the port with the network. This model operates on standard single-mode fiber-optic link spans up to 70 km long. When shorter distances of single-mode fiber are used, it might be necessary to insert an inline optical attenuator in the link to avoid overloading the receiver.
